DESCRIPTION:The application for the 15th Annual Reinbeck Art Festival is open!  \nWe invite you to apply and encourage you to invite others to apply to this juried event held on Main Street in Reinbeck\, Iowa on September 19\, 2026 from 9-3 P.M. \nThis outside festival will offer: \n\nArt Vendors\nCar Show including motorcycles\, tractors\, pickups\nQuilting Display\nLive Music and Entertainment\nChildren’s Art\nFamily Activities\nHomegrown Reinbeck Artists\nFarmer’s Market\nFood from local eateries\n\nThe juried show features many of the area’s finest artists. We are interested in a variety of mediums including\, but not limited to: \nPaintings Ceramics Charcoals Metal Wood \nRepurposed Items Drawing Art Fiber  \nAnd more to intrigue buyers!  \nSpecial Incentive: After you have been juried\, if you get a new artist to apply who lists your name as the person who encouraged them to apply\, \nyou will receive a finder’s coupon the day of the festival for $20 to be used at the festival or redeemed for cash. \nTo register: \nComplete this application form: \nMake sure to complete all required fields\, \nincluding attaching 3 or more digital images (JPG\, PNG or PDF) \nthat represent 95% of what you plan to sell. \nApplication Fees: \n\nEarly Bird Special (on or before May1st)\n\nJury Fee $10 Booth Fee $25 for one space \n\nRegular Application Fee (May 2 – July 31)\n\nJury Fee $10 Booth Fee $30 for one space \n\nLate Application Fee (August 1 – September 9)\n\nJury Fee $15 Booth Fee $40 for one space \n\nAfter September 10:\n\nJury Fee $30 Booth Fee $60 for one space \nJury and Booth Fees may be paid online at our Ludus site by registering here: \nIf you prefer to pay by check\, enclose two checks: one for the booth fee and one for the non-refundable jury fee (please note in the memo field Art Festival booth or jury fee.) \nMake checks payable to City of Reinbeck and mail to: \nCity of Reinbeck \n414 Main St. \nReinbeck\, IA 50669 \nNotification: We will try to notify each applicant within 3 weeks after receiving the application/check if they are juried in or not. \nSharing a booth? If you apply to share a booth\, each applicant must be juried and accepted. Each person must pay a jury a fee; the booth fee does not increase. \nExhibitor Rules and Regulations: All work must be original and created by the artist. Kits\, imports\, and mass productions are not acceptable. Your submitted images must represent 95% of your items. Any items not represented in the juried process may need to be removed\, If your work is not juried in\, your booth fee will be returned\, but the jury fee is NON-REFUNDABLE. A $25 bank fee will be charged on all returned checks. The check amount plus the bank fee is payable with a money order\, \ncashier’s check or cash. Taxes: Each exhibitor is responsible for collecting Reinbeck’s 7% State Sales Tax with the Department of Revenue. We are required to submit names and addresses of all vendors. \nCancellations: Vendor cancellations must be in writing by mail or email at least 30 days prior to the event to get a booth fee refund. \nFYI: Vendors will leave their exhibit space clean after the show. Ask festival staff to cover your booth if you need a break. The vendor’s space needs to be occupied by 8:30 or it will be considered a “no show\,” the space will be forfeited\, and there will be no refund. Please do not take up any additional space without the consent of the show staff. All vehicles must be removed from the show area by 8:30. You may park in the 3rd block and beyond of Broad/Blackhawk or in the 5th block of Main Street in order to leave ample room for shoppers. Please do not tear down your exhibit until 3:00 as that is your commitment to the festival. Flyers are distributed at volleyball and soccer tournaments in town advertising the event will be open until 3:00. Please aim to be completely torn down before 5:00 P.M. \nYou are responsible for making your booth sturdy and weighted (you will be on pavement\, so bring weights\, not stakes) against wind\, rain\, etc. The City of Reinbeck / The Reinbeck Art Festival is not responsible for lost\, damaged\, or stolen property. Vendors will be responsible for any damage caused by unsecured tents. Volunteers will be available at 6:00 A.M. and return at 3:00 P.M. if you request assistance the day of the show. Event staff reserves the right to make final interpretations of all rules and regulations.

DESCRIPTION:Join us Friday\, March 20 from 1-3pm as Maureen Larsson guides us through a special creative printmaking workshop designed to help explore the art of TetraPak printmaking. We will use recycled TetraPak cartons for intaglio etching plates in which the focus will be on etching\, scoring\, and peeling the foil liner to form a design. From there we will continue with learning how to ink the plate\, and transfer the image on printmaking paper with a roller press. \nSpace is limited. Register by 3/6

DESCRIPTION:What is Scratchboard? \nThe scratchboard technique is a two-dimensional subtractive process. It involves the use of abrasive tools to directly remove a surface layer of one value (typically dark) to expose a second layer (typically white). The values within the artwork are predominantly achieved by varying the amount of surface layer that has been scratched away or left.
