Hello Iowa Artists!
It is time to get your submissions in for the 2024 juried Gallery Art Hop taking place in southeastern Iowa! The art will be stationary and placed in two galleries in southeastern Iowa. Patrons will be encouraged to visit both galleries in September for a Gallery Art Hop to see the beautiful artwork produced by artists throughout the state of Iowa. Viewers will have a punch card to verify attendance at both galleries, which will then be entered into a drawing for a prize! The galleries participating are Art Domestique in Washington, Iowa and Fort Madison Area Arts Association in Fort Madison, Iowa.
Artists may enter up to 3 works via this Google Form, and then email photos of the pieces to submissions@iowaartists.org. If you have trouble submitting photos, please let us know.
Submissions (forms AND photos) are due by midnight July 31, 2024. Artists will be notified of accepted works and the gallery they should be delivered to by August 15, 2024.
NOTE:
Artists must deliver their accepted artwork to the gallery that their art is assigned to by September 1, 2024, or the date that your assigned gallery needs it by. If an artist has multiple pieces accepted, ALL of their accepted work will be shown at the same gallery to make delivery/pickup of artwork easier for the artist. Artwork may be shipped with a prepaid return address label or hand-delivered. If the artist hand delivers, please plan on picking up the work by October 5, 2024, or the desired pickup date of your assigned gallery. All shipped artwork with a prepaid return address will be shipped back to you at the conclusion of the exhibit. Iowa Artists assumes no responsibility for the artwork.
To Enter: Please complete the online entry form (no Google account needed) or download the entry form from our website (http://iowaartists.org/2024-south-eastern-iowa-gallery-hop) and email to submissions@iowaartists.org. Email photos of each piece entered to submissions@iowaartists.org.
Entry Deadline (forms AND photos): Midnight, July 31, 2024
Exhibit Dates: September 1-30, 2024
Acceptable Submissions: May submit 3 artworks, in any accepted medium and any size as per our Rules/Prospectus (found on Iowa Artists website); 2D and 3D works are both accepted. Top Award winners and State Show Blue Ribbon winners are invited to show their work automatically. Other Regional Show entries from 2024 are allowed to be entered and will be juried.
Acceptance Notification: August 15, 2024
Delivery Date of Art: September 1, 2024, or the date given by the assigned gallery.
Pickup Date of Art: October 1, 2024, or the date given by the assigned gallery.
Commission Rates: Work may be either for sale or not for sale (mark NFS). Galleries have different commission rates between 30-40%; please price your work to sell accordingly. When you are assigned your gallery for any accepted work, please confirm your sale price with Stephanie or Kelly if your art is for sale.

This is a great opportunity to showcase some of our Iowa Artists’ art in September 2024. The partnering galleries are excited to work with Iowa Artists and would love to have our members come to view the SE Hop Exhibit. Iowa Artists members are allowed to have their card punched for the chance to win a prize for this Art Hop. The galleries will be promoting it to their supporters and followers along with Iowa Artists, so be sure to tell your family and friends about it, too!
